My name is Adrian Steckeweh, a German architect, CGI artist, and XR creator based in Tokyo since 2016. My work explores the intersection of materiality, reality, and virtuality, aiming to convey haptics and properties that extend beyond our five senses.  

 

Under the moniker Omega.C, I develop art and interactive Instagram effects that allow users to experience art. My fascination with everyday objects, overlooked architecture, and augmented reality fuels my creations, which often incorporate reflective and translucent elements to distort real space and time.  

 

I have participated in various exhibitions and collaborations. Notably, my project “SEMI MEMORY” was recognized with the GRAND Prize at the NEWVIEW Awards 2022. This immersive experience blends snapshots of reality from Shizuoka, Kanagawa, and Tokyo, reflecting on the imperfection and selectivity of human memory.  

 

I have also collaborated with brands such as Zalando, Adidas, Nike and Shiseido, creating AR effects that bridge the gap between virtual creations and human experiences.  

 

Through my work, I strive to challenge perceptions and invite audiences to explore the delicate balance between the tangible and intangible, the real and the virtual.
